Active Schools Week took place from April 27th to May 1st. Each day, every class participated in a variety of activities and received active homework for the week. It was wonderful to see so many children, parents and staff out walking each morning, as well as many pupils cycling to school throughout the week.
Pupils also took part in the Walkway Challenges for 1st to 6th class on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. During the week, there were exciting pupil-versus-teacher challenges, along with games of badminton, basketball, soccer, and rounders.
Pupils practised the Macarena dance, which they performed on Friday morning, bringing great energy and fun to the school. The week concluded with a mini sports day for all, full of enjoyment and activity.
A big thank you to Mr Galligan, Mrs Keogh, and our fantastic Active Committee for their tremendous effort in preparing for this week and for their ongoing work throughout the year as we strive towards achieving our third Active Flag. Well done Everyone!
